It is hard to imagine our summer vacation as I look out the window on the current winter storm. But our vacation took place this summer at Canada’s Wonderland, the largest theme park in the northeast. It was a steaming hot week and it was a very exciting adventure for the whole family. The conversation was fierce, including our son who communicates via AAC, with lots of pointing and initiation with him telling us what rides he wanted to access. Both our son and his youngest sister worked so well together, lifting flotation devices up over their heads, climbing hundreds of stairs along the way. It was an amazing adventure. If only mom could of remembered to apply more sunscreen to her shoulders, oy! It was definitely a trip we will never forget. <3
