I want the misconception that autistics are violent to please change. I don’t like having myself and several others thought of as violent people, because we’re not. We’re not violent. And I wish more people would realize that. Because if people keep thinking that autistics are violent, then that is bad, because we’re not violent.

I want people to realize that the kids I work with are NOT tragedies, and I am not a hero trying to “save” them.

I would like people not to assume that non-verbal means ‘stupid’. One of my house mates is NV but she is definitely not ‘stupid’.

I’d like for people to see that people who communicate differently, whether by typing or by signing, have just as much to say as anyone else.
